LESSER OMENS

a small bot that produces weird little fragments of poetry, randomly sourced from original text i have added to over the decade+ it has existed, and here presented a sort of obscure tarot-esque reading, because i think that's funny.  still not mobile friendly somehow. sorry.

this is a very old project of mine that started as a twitter bot i made to try and produce random inspiration for short stories. its current incarnation is as a kind of omen dispensing service at lesseromens.tumblr.com/ , but i thought it would be good to host it locally without relying on social media or crossposting tools. the code is very simple (shout out to cheap bots done quick/cheap bots toot sweet for introducing me to tracery), probably not very good, and was very easy to move over to twine. 

unfortunately i cannot endorse the prophetic abilities of the entity sometimes known as poembot, but it has been with me for a long time and i am pretty fond of it.

this project does not utilise AI/LLM technology.
